NFT & The Digital Age

Life & Beyond

Most people wouldn’t know what a NFT even is if you were to ask them randomly on the street. But when you hop on to social media platforms, especially those close-knit communities, you’d find a ton of people participating in this new age item. Essentially, a NFT works as a Non fungible token, which means it can only be bought and not exchanged for anything of equal value. People all over twitter and the cryptocurrency spear have been using NFT’s to buy digital art pieces. Once someone owns an original art piece they have a license for it so nobody else could buy the original piece. Art is now being sold online for a couple thousand worth in cryptocurrency (i.e ETH, bitcoin, etc). NFT’s is something that hasn’t gone viral but have trended in said close-knit communities. Outsiders or people not interested in crypto or crypto trading would not know what a NFT is or how it even works. This brings upon a whole slew of social aspects in terms of how people connect with others that are involved in crypto buying and selling. Especially now on Twitter I see a ton of people asking about crypto and how to get started in it. People are then quick to respond to offer advice and even connect privately. As cryptocurrencies grow and expand, there will be tons of interaction from people and companies alike.
